Barbarian is actually an unintended slur used by most city dwellers. The term is used to refer to those who live in roving clans of monster hunters out in the wilder portions of the Islands. More specifically it refers to clans people who fight with strength of arm rather than the magic of nature used by their spiritual leaders. Barbarians or clan warriors (as they refer to themselves) can be male or female. They are generally considered the second most durable form of fighter, though they wear only light armor made from the skins of animals they have slain. Clan warriors are often single minded in focus, beholden to follow their Prophecy and the spiritual leaders without question. Their one overriding goal is to cleanse Loar of every Sundering-warped aberration.
